A 450 word statement discussing why I want to study architecture at MSA

I would love to study for a degree in architecture at MSA because I believe that this course will be able to quench my undying thirst for knowledge. The architecture programme at MSA encapsulates all of my areas of interest, and would make a good first step to a long journey as I am willing to pursue a career in this field. In addition, the opportunity to apply scientific, mathematical and artistic abilities in order to find a creative solution to a complex situation, simply fascinates me.
Having recently visited a modern art museum in the city of Malaga, I was able to contemplate the works of Dexter Dalwood. Such as his well known paintings of building interiors. I was moved by his ability to inform the observer of whom the room belonged to simply by the way the interior was presented or by the subtle objects that were included. I have also arranged visits to a number of sites that I found of particular interest, such as La Alhambra found in Granada, and also Cordoba's famous cathedral mosque.
This summer I have attended a large conference focusing on topical and controversial environmental issues. At this conference I was lucky enough to listen to some eminent speakers such as Kofi Annan who, at one point, mentioned how crucial it was to take into account the environmental profile when developing building designs, which he referred to as "green architecture". I was truly inspired by him and I believe it is a challenge that all current architects have to embrace.
I am particularly inspired by the ground breaking, pure and always elegant designs of Daniel Libeskind. He is what I would call a "rare bird" in his field, being an architect whose extensive depth and profoundness never cease to amaze me. Not only am I impressed by the incredibly abstract appearance of his designs, but by the stories behind them, and how they were invented in the first place. "Architecture is not based on concrete, steel, and elements of the soil. It is based on wonder", this is my favorite quote by him as it truly is wonder that has created the greatest cities, and the spaces we experience in our life.
Having travelled around the world and observed several inspiring buildings, I would soon like to visit the holy city of Mekkah to complete a pilgrimage in the colossal mosque called "Hajj", as I come from an Islamic background. I believe it would be a breathtaking experience to observe in first person how such a vast space could have the amount of intricate detail that it currently has, which one might have guessed to be impossible to build at the time.
